So are we going to have a recession or a depression in 2026? You’ll notice that economic prosperity is not one of the options. It appears to me that at bare minimum a recession is already baked in the cake.
It all comes down to Congress. Will they ever grow a backbone and do their job? The mind boggles when one considers how completely they’ve given up their power. Enough politicians have become nothing more than a rubber stamp for the executive branch. That, my friends, is them not doing their jobs.
Personally, I think that we’ll only end up with a recession. Most of our economic issues the government has inflicted on the nation. What they did they can mostly undo. I say only mostly as old trading partners and former allies won’t forget their poor treatment. However, politicians want to get reelected so many will get their act together.
It’s either that or follow a lame duck President down the road to ruin.

Decades of mismanagement and the crisis is upon us.
ReplyDeleteChaos from mass media propaganda (I miss when you could watch ABC and CNN and ACTUALLY SEE 2 different stories instead of the same script) has created a brewing shitstorm of hostility and distrust between Americans.
It's Nazi this and Bigot that whenever facts are brought up.
History suggests that the American Empire is well near dead and major change of ownership of our lands are going to happen. Just like Rome and so on when others divided up their Empire.
Not going to be pretty as Rome lost a HUGE percentage of their population through internal war, disease and starvation.
When the grid goes, so too shall civilization.
ReplyDeleteIf you're not lean and mean before that occurrence. You'll likely not weather the storm.
I wonder what the death toll would be if it fails this morning of February 1 , at 6 am it is currently 25°.... gonna look pretty brown in fladuh hmm
Funny, I foresee prosperity for those who are willing to work, who don't depend on taxpayer money for their livelihood while they sit on their ass....
ReplyDeleteOf course, if you've been sucking up government largesse for years, then it's gonna hurt.
But the average person in the middle class, and most of the class below them are gonna have more and better.
But then again, I am a realist, and I don't let my hatred of the current president ( or any other political figure) affect my outlook, instead I look at the economy and plan accordingly.
I'd like to see the data that B is looking at.
