Slice and Dice

Well that was interesting.

The lump on my inner thigh had grown to about the size of a football. No kidding.

The operation that was impossible in New Hampshire was routine at Mass General. They kept me overnight. Stitches will have to stay in for a month but I'm already much improved. Pain currently can be managed with Tylenol.

Looks like I'm getting my life back after 10 months of searching for a solution. Only took 5 hospitals and about a dozen doctors.

The sad thing is that I'll have a nifty foot long scar that I can't show anyone without exposing my dangling unmentionables. Scars are like tattoos but with more interesting stories.

Family and friends have been a great help.

    1. Thanks Adam. Still teaching tai-chi? In a month or so I could be ready to improve my balance and get some exercise.

  2. Ain't it just wonderful, how our bodies start betraying us when we get older !
Happy to hear you finally got some results from the medical industrial complex of profiteering.

    1. It's funny how I felt much better right out of surgery with over a foot of new stitches I've been going on walks in the park since I got out. Paying for this operation might be interesting but it had to be done. At least I'm paying for something that worked. Getting old ain't for sissies.

  4. They couldn't do that surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center?

    1. Maybe they could. Maybe they could not. At any rate the surgeon I met with was very dismissive. He didn't even want to examine me. I've heard complaints about him since. Pretty disappointed in Dartmouth as for years they were the go to place.
