Protective Gear

I was going to make a big long post about this, but decided against it. Listen folks, wear your protective gear. Spend a little extra and get gear that’s high quality and comfortable. Not everyone has helicopter access to the best medical care in the world.

  1. gear? Are you referring to face masks? Good and comfortable are not necessarily effective.
BUT....we have been over he effectiveness of face diapers....most not very..most a false sense of security to he wearer...but whatever makes you comfortable..
But your right we haven't the access, nor the funds to get the level of medical attention that may be needed if you are in the high risk category of age and comorbidities .
Actual deaths ,by the cdc stats, caused by the virus only. is closer to approx. 12000. NOT over 200,000.
    Don't fall for he hysteria.
Now ponder his....why have only republicans in high level positions to he WH, which include Senators needed to confirm Barrett been infected all at once practically ? Not one Democrat. who don't wear masks off camera.
how can that happen ? simple, contaminated test swabs...shoved up their noses....
think about it ... long and hard

    1. Apparently, even at this late date, you cannot be taught. Big words from an Anonymous poster.

  2. I don't wear masks, I don't worry about unsociable distancing (though I'm a bit anti-social by nature) and I don't even follow the green arrows on the store floor. Since I can't stand, I didn't wait in line at Chinamart today, either, but went in, got a cart and went on. It's all in the Lord's hands anyway if we're out and about. All WE can do is stay home.

    1. While it's in the lord's hands, he gave us brains for us to use. Be well.

  3. I did not put you down... I gave you the facts... I simply have not followed the hysteria other kool aid drinkers have.
It seems you need to do further investigation of what is really the reality .
Comorbidity to big a word ?
    The truth is the truth.
Regardless, I wish you all wellbeing and safety. Just try not being sheeple.

    1. Research is one of those things I'm trained in. I've come to different conclusions than you.

  4. Six, I'd like to hear your comments you were going to post. You being an x-fireman your real life experience and lung issues would be valuable to us.
My wife and I are mask wearers because there's nothing else reasonable available. Masks do have some issues such as face fit (contour) and fabric weave. But it is the best we have right now.

    1. Currently my main mask is an extra large RZ with their best filters. I also replaced the vents with the sealed caps that are now available from the company. I replaced the vents with caps in case I get something. It would be irresponsible to spread it. Generally I also wear something over my eyes. Even sunglasses help as they keep me from accidentally rubbing my face. I also have clear safety glasses (with readers built in because I'm of that age).

In addition to my regular mask I keep a fabric mask in my shirt pocket. That way it's handy, like when a delivery guy comes by unexpectedly and my regular mask is in the house.
