6 to 8 foot seas and 20+ knot winds. That's why I'm taking photos from inside the captain's lounge.
We sat out the rain, but now it's cool and windy. At least the boat has a chance to dry out.
My lovely wife and I did have a really great lunch at a Greek place. It was one of the best and most reasonably priced meals I've had in weeks.
We'll be going over some charts with another boating couple later this afternoon. They are on their way to the Keys and haven't make the trip before.

Wise choice. Been on a boat in a storm...not always a nice roller coaster ride.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a bad January for storms, but a warming trend is on the way.
DeleteNot a time to escape by boat...
ReplyDeleteIf I had to, I could do it, but it wouldn't be comfortable. Survival trumps comfort.
DeleteBeing caught in a out at sea in a small boat is not much fun and can be really dangerous. I know, been there, done that. The lounge on shore is the best place to ride out a storm.
ReplyDeleteNo need to take chances. I've got the rest of the winter and part of the spring to enjoy sailing.
DeleteSit back and relax Six, it will all pass and sunny skies and warm temps are just a day away!
ReplyDeleteBetter days are coming.
DeleteIt's a tough life you lead, but somebody has to do it!
ReplyDeleteI cope as best I can. Sometimes there's dinner and drinks.
